Communications Intern - Part-Time, Paid Internship | Fall 2026

The Forum of Executive Women is Greater Philadelphia's premier organization for executive women, bringing together more than 600 leaders across industries to advance women's leadership, influence, and power. Through high-impact events, leadership development, research, and strategic partnerships, The Forum connects and elevates women shaping the future of the region.


Position Overview:

The Forum is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Communications Intern for Fall 2026 (starting late August or early September). This paid internship offers hands-on experience supporting one of Philadelphia's leading women’s nonprofit organizations through communications and organizational operations.


This role is ideal for a student interested in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, and women's leadership. 



Key Responsibilities:


Communications & Marketing:

  • Draft and edit content for newsletters, social media, website updates, and member communications 
  • Assist with promotion of Forum events and initiatives 
  • Create basic graphics and marketing materials using Canva or similar platforms 
  • Help maintain a consistent organizational voice across communications 
  • Support media and promotional outreach as needed
     

Research & Signature Publications:

  • Support development and promotion of The Forum's signature research publications, including the Women in Leadership Report and Pay Equity Report 
  • Assist with proofreading, and quality assurance for reports and related materials 
  • Draft promotional content for report releases, including newsletters, social media, and website updates 
  • Assist with preparing presentations, briefing materials, and event collateral related to report launches 
  • Conduct background research on topics related to women's leadership and workplace equity as needed


Operations and Events Support:

  • Support registration, guest communications, and event logistics 
  • Provide onsite support before, during, and after events 
  • Maintain and update membership rosters and CRM records 
  • Prepare meeting materials, reports, and presentation packets 
  • Help organize digital files, templates, and shared resources 
  • Provide general operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the organization 
  • Support special projects as assigned 

 
Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Nonprofit Management, Event Management, or a related field 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Experience with Canva, social media platforms, email marketing platforms, or CRM systems is a plus 
  • Positive attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn 
  • Interest in women's leadership, nonprofit organizations, and the Greater Philadelphia business community



Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time: Approximately 10 hours per week 
  • Duration: September–December 2026 (flexible start and end dates) 
  • Location: Hybrid, with some in-person work required in Philadelphia, including support at Forum events. Interns must be residents of the Philadelphia region. 
  • Compensation: $20 per hour for 10 hours of work per week.
