DEI COMMITTEE | WHITE PAPER

Culture Under Pressure.

Lessons from The Forum's Forging the Path Forward: Workplace Inclusion Innovation Hackathon on advancing women through moments of institutional risk.

This Spring, over 50 Forum members came together to dig into three real world scenarios facing women in the workplace today: representation and retention, C-suite culture and risk, and how policy and systems shape belonging. This paper captures what came out of those conversations.

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

The data is clear. Women, and especially women of color, continue to see the sharpest labor market headwinds. The data in the Foundation section lays this out clearly.

Leadership under pressure matters. Across three scenarios (Elwin Green, the Financial Employer, and the University Merger), leaders' choices in high-stakes moments shaped whether women stayed or left.

Culture takes concrete action. Stronger organizations are built on accountability, intentional recruiting, and dedicated funding.
