Leadership Breakfast | The Long Game: How Women Get to the Top
Oct 30, 2026
08:00 AM

The Leadership Breakfast is held each fall and includes the unveiling of The Forum's annual Women in Leadership report and recognition of our Champions of Board Diversity (companies with 30% or more women on their boards). This year's program will include a special segment on women's representation in the boardroom, exploring best practices and research on what it takes to build more diverse boards. The Forum will also announce our 50th Anniversary Legacy Project, focused on board leadership.

The morning will close with a fireside chat with Madeline Bell, who spent nearly 40 years at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, starting as a pediatric nurse in 1983 and retiring this fall as the first woman CEO in CHOP's 171-year history. Bell will speak candidly about what it took to rise through the organization, the decisions and setbacks along the way, and her advice for women earlier in their careers.

Breakfast will be served, and this year's program includes expanded time for networking, giving attendees more room to connect after the program. With 500+ leaders across sectors in the room, it's a great opportunity to build relationships while celebrating women's leadership in the region.
