Join The Forum's LGBTQ+ Peer Circle, DEI Committee, and TransWork (Independence Business Alliance, Greater Philadelphia's LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce) for a virtual, educational workshop on transgender inclusion in the workplace.
In 2022 there were a total of 174 bills attacking transgender people's rights in education, healthcare, public access, etc. In 2025, that number was more than 1,000 (Trans Legislation Tracker). Many transgender people are moving to states with better laws if they are able to, including the city of Philadelphia. With that, inclusive workplaces are needed now more than ever.
TransWork's Inclusive Workplace program takes teams from general content about using affirming language all the way to practical steps that can be implemented immediately. All workplaces can benefit from approaching gender equity with greater flexibility and creativity, increasing the sense of belonging and leading to higher productivity in the workplace. Research shows that businesses that include equity policies such as non-discrimination policies, equal benefits and inclusive corporate culture show higher net incomes, higher gross profits and greater market stability than those who do not (HRC, 2025).

This session is for everyone, whether or not you have worked with a member of the transgender community. We welcome everyone on their journey to greater understanding and awareness of transgender inclusivity. As part of this session, we want to encourage an open discussion where you can ask questions without fear or judgement.
