Join The Forum's What's Next Peer Group for the continuation of "What's Next 2.0." The first session of this series focused on how we think about and manage time when we have greater control over how it is spent. The second part of our discussion will center on how What's Next members are redefining priorities, commitments, and personal pace.
This program will be facilitated by Forum member Dr. Ilene Wasserman and will focus on the following:
- Enhancing your experience of the challenges and opportunities of this next phase of life.
- Incorporating what we have learned from the research to explore a reimagined retirement and reframing our exploration from "stopping" to creatively exploring what gives meaning and joy. For some that might mean identifying new opportunities to contribute gifts in a new context. For others it might mean pursuing old or new passions that come to light.
Location:
TBD, Center City, Philadelphia
Some readings to revisit prior to this session:
- Retiring: Creating a Life that Works for You based on the research Kathy and colleagues completed is hot off the presses.
- Four Developmental Tasks In Retirement
- Transitioning into Retirement The Interplay of Self and Life Structure.pdf
- Seven Strategies for Maintaining a Sense of Self in Retirement - WSJ (002).pdf
What is a What Next member? The What's Next initiative was created to support Forum members ~30 years into their career who are in or are approaching a new chapter.
This session is for What's Next Initiative Forum members only. If you are not a What's Next member or meet the criteria to be a What's Next member, your registration may be declined.
